Anahata and My Journey……
Anahata is a beautiful word with a very beautiful meaning. It is a Sanskrit word that represents the Heart Chakra. The literal interpretation is “Unbeaten”
Anahata represents unconditional Love. Compassion. Balance. And Healing.
Anahata is literally your Heart Center. It is the middle Chakra, with 3 above and 3 below. It is the exact center of your personal mandala. It unites forces from above and below, from within and without.
When in balance, it brings a radiant sense of wholeness and inner joy. It’s important to realize that the love experienced at the Heart Chakra level is different from that of romantic love, which is object oriented and therefore external. In the Anahata, love is experienced within, as a state of being.
Anahata is about loving ourselves, fiercely and unconditionally, so that we can radiate love and compassion back into the world. It is about transcending ego, healing, accepting, and loving all parts of ourselves so that we may flourish!
Opening the heart chakra and developing compassion, connection and understanding for those around us, naturally gives rise to the urge to heal. But the healer is merely a catalyst in the subjects’ own experience. This is why I have always considered myself a “Healing Facilitator”. My job is to guide you through your healing process, because in truth, you are your own healer.
Practicing on others as an extension of healing myself began for me in 2015, when I took a leap of faith to pursue a career in Massage & Bodywork. I was burned out and unfilled working the 9-5 grind. I was over scheduled and drained, both physically and emotionally. I was distracted from myself, disconnected from my body and stressed to the hilt. A story repeated often in our society.
Shortly after beginning to practice, I learned 2 things very quickly. First, I had found my calling and second, massage therapy is not a luxury, but a key part of a healthy and balanced life.
Being a single mother and trauma survivor, I found that I was able not only to heal my clients, but to heal myself through body and energy work. I am able to draw upon the deep well of wisdom gained from my years of personal healing; creating an authentic, genuine healing experience for each client.
I am deeply grateful to have been practicing massage and bodywork in Downtown Asheville for 7 years now. I have worked with over 2000 different bodies from all walks of life, and I have never once received negative feedback. Clients often leave with profound shifts in awareness and lasting results. Since the beginning of my practice my personal motto has been, to “Elevate the collective consciousness, one massage at a time!”
There is real power in slowing down. Hitting Pause. And Reset.
My approach is intuitive, nurturing and you’ll be able to feel that I put my whole heart into each session. This work is my passion, my art and it fills my heart with joy!
May your Anahata radiate love and joy freely and brightly into the world! And the circle will live on and on… because all love is reciprocal.
in Truth & with Love,
Kristi ❤
